Unveiled at the Overkill Festival, this 3D platformer by Silly Little Games follows a mechanical toad on its meaningful journey through the digital swamp.

Developed for Sickhouse, the game tasks players with controlling the character's legs, communication becoming crucial to be able to advance.

During its playful gameplay, it encourages the players to question the technology advance at the risk of losing humanity and nature.

Story

Along with your friend lead the toad into this enigmatic swamp where nature and technology blend into unique landscapes.

Jump by synchronizing your actions and remember to touch some grass to maintain your sanity as you dive deeper.

Level design

Given the theme and horizontal level design, each platform had to seamlessly blend while ensuring coherent mechanics. Modern cultural elements were sprinkled to maintain the player engaged and curios.

Elevated paths crafted from pipes, branches and cables provide a polished gaming experience. Terrain painting tools were used to accurately replicate swamp natural features.

Each level offers a unique atmosphere and gradually introduces the player to new interactions such as jumping boosts, targeted enemies and moving platforms.

User INTERFACE

The main menu keeps the game's theme consistency by including design elements such as technical leaves to indicate button selection.

To attract players at the exhibition, the main menu design was focused, serving as the central screen after each playthrough. For the background a slideshow featuring highlights from each level was chosen. Created by an artist from our team, the animations helped the game stand out,

In the level selection screen, the background changes according to the focused button to provide players with a preview of each level's visual aesthetic before playing.
